FOUR PHILIPS MRI’S TO BE INSTALLED IN 2013 BY TECHNOMEDICS

It is a great honor for us to have the opportunity to install four MRI Scanners within a year in Sri Lanka, together with our Principals Ms. Philips Healthcare. The order for the fourth MRI Scanner, Philips Achieva 3TX was placed by the Ministry Of Health on 01st of November 2013, and to be installed at the Teaching Hospital, Anuradhapura at a cost of US$ 1.6 million.

The first ever 3T MRI scanner to be acquired by the Ministry of Health was installed in Teaching Hospital Kandy in July 2013, and was followed with Teaching Hospital, Karapitiya in September 2013. In addition, we have won the order for supply of entire Radiology equipment package at Hemas Capital Hospital, Thalawathugoda which included Philips Achieva1.5T MRI Scanner, Philips MX-16 CT Scanner and digital X-ray system in early this year.

With this order, the total number of Philips MRI scanners increased to six, including Sirimavo Bandranayake Hospital, Peradeniya and Lanka Hospital, Colombo.
