TECHNOMEDICS IN LMD MOST RESPECTED 100 COMPANIES IN SRI LANKA 2013

Commissioned and conceptualised by LMD, and conducted by Nielsen, the survey was designed to rank the Most Respected entities in Sri Lanka – based on opinions expressed by respondents – and to find out why they are perceived as being the ‘most respected.

The survey covered a sample of 800 businesspeople. A random sample was selected and weighted on the basis of population proportions of business entities, so as to best represent the mix of organisations operating in Sri Lanka. Interviews were conducted with business leaders, managers, senior executives and executives of organisations during February and March 2013, via telephone. Telephone interviews were deemed to be the most effective, given the busy work schedules of respondents – and to this end, the questionnaire was designed with simplicity and conciseness in mind.

The changes made in 2012, in order to improve the stability of survey results, were maintained this year. Thus, the rankings are comparable to those published in this standalone edition last year.
